For the moment, I rather remain anonymous. I recently moved to Florida with my husband. Lots of people asked us why we would just get up and move in such uncertain economic times. Well, simply put…we only live once, and life is way too short to put things off. We weren’t particularly happy where we lived and we were ready to start a new journey, despite all the difficulties it might bring our way.

We packed our things, I left my job, drove 6 hours to our new destination, and here we are ready for new beginnings. (cue crickets)

It’s been about 4 months and I’ve applied everywhere. I’ve been on numerous interviews and still…no job. I graduated college in 2007 when the economy started going downhill so I knew I’d have difficulties finding work, but I never imagined it would be this hard.

Some days I am really positive and productive around the house and applying to jobs, other days I just want to stay in bed and play hide and seek with the world.

Either way, my search for unemployment continues and my blog about it all, begins….
